STUART Heath says Redditch United can expect to face a very different Dorchester Town side at the Avenue tomorrow (3pm).

The two teams clash this weekend three months after the visitors eased to a 3-0 victory in what was arguably one of the Magpies’ poorest performances of the season.

But first-team coach Heath says that Dorchester have a point to prove against the Reds, who are pushing for a play-off place in the upper reaches of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

“They turned us over comfortably last time,” he said. “We were in a pretty bad place when we went up there. We were shipping a lot of goals and not scoring many as well.

“Like most games earlier in the season, we did well for one half and then collapsed in terms of confidence and mental toughness in the second half.

“They are one of many teams who we feel we have something to prove to.”

He went on to add: “I think we have surprised a lot of teams in the last few months by how much we have bounced back.

“We are like a completely different team now, especially in defence. We are mentally stronger and go into games believing we can beat anybody.

“With the mental toughness and quality we have we are really starting to show our potential. We have been proving to ourselves, our supporters and the opposition that we are a better team, and it has been pretty enjoyable doing that.

“We kept three clean sheets in three games last week and we’ve also got an attacking threat, though we could be more ruthless in front of goal.”

The Magpies will be without Nathan Walker (suspended) tomorrow and Nick Crittenden is still sidelined through injury. Lewis Morgan and Jamie Gleeson are also rated at 50-50 due to an ankle problem and illness respectively.
