BRADLEY Tarbuck reckons that a return to Dorchester Town could be possible if he doesn’t secure a new contract at Portsmouth.

The winger is hopeful of landing a fresh Fratton Park deal after some impressive performances while on loan with the Magpies.

But if things don’t go his way then Tarbuck, who spent the last three months of the season at the Avenue, believes a second spell in the black and white of the county town outfit is a viable option.

“I’m not sure what’s happening with Portsmouth at the moment,” he added. “I’m hoping I get offered a new contract.

“If I don’t then I’d like to keep my options open, and I know Dorchester are definitely one of those options.

“I thought it went well there. They are a good bunch of lads and made it very easy to settle down.

“The manager is a top guy and he helped me through my time at Dorchester.”

He added: “I think my physical attributes improved while I was there. It took a bit of getting used to but playing at that level has made me a bit stronger.”

Tarbuck netted three times in the league for Dorchester as he helped the club to safety.

And it is one of those strikes that was the highlight of his loan stay.

“It was my first goal at Dunstable,” he said. “We were struggling in the first half but then came back to win it in the second.”
