MARK Jermyn says comments he heard and read after the Ridgeway derby about Dorchester being “dirty” are well wide of the mark.

The Magpies’ boss reckons that only one of the three yellow cards picked up by his men last Saturday was justified.

Alan Walker-Harris, Nathan Walker and Franklyn Clarke all received cautions during the 2-2 draw at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

“One thing I want to mention is that it was a derby and there were three bookings apiece,” said Jermyn. “I find it a bit amusing the way we are made out to be dirty.

“One of our bookings (Walker-Harris) was for the penalty which everybody agreed shouldn’t have been one, and one was for Franklyn when he celebrated with the crowd. We had one justifiable booking out of the three.

“I heard a few comments (about Dorchester’s discipline) in the bar and there were things I read after the game.

“I don’t want to get involved in it but if you are going to make comments like that then you’ve got to back them up.”
