DORCHESTER Town player-manager Mark Jermyn insists that tomorrow’s home game against Bideford is one his side “should be winning”.

The Magpies face up to the Robins at the Avenue (3pm), with the visitors sitting 23rd in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Eleventh-placed Dorchester go into the clash off the back of two draws against sides in the top four.

And Jermyn is hoping for his team to keep the spirit they showed in Boxing Day’s Ridgeway derby intact this weekend.

He told Echosport: “The boys are quite buoyant off the back of the derby so we will be looking to set our stall out early to try and win the game.

“Character wise there is no question but the thing we keep drumming into the players is about managing games.

“Tomorrow we need to manage the game from start to finish and it has to be a dominant display.

“It’s easy to sit back and look at the other games but we can’t really, we have to take this next game as a massive positive.

“Bideford are in that position and have collected that many points for a reason and we need to focus on ourselves and make sure we get the right outcome.”

After Ben Watson came off the bench in the derby with Weymouth, Jermyn also insisted it was “massive” to have him back for selection.
