MARK Jermyn has reiterated the warning to his players not to let their league campaign fizzle out.

Dorchester will bid to record back-to-back league victories when they travel to promotion hopefuls Leamington tonight (7.45pm).

Boss Jermyn, who insisted his troops were “playing for their futures” at the Avenue last week, said: “I am not going to sit here and watch the season peter out.

“At this moment in time the players just have to show a good attitude and we want to win every game. Every game now until the end of the season is a cup final for us, as cliché as it may be.

“I just want to go out there and see people compete, the ones that do have a chance of staying next season.”

Hosts Leamington will also go into the encounter off the back of a positive weekend result.

A crowd of more than 500 saw them secure a 1-0 home win against Poole Town on Saturday thanks to a 57th minute goal from striker Ben Mackey.

Jermyn added: “We will be going there and will be very respectful of the fact that they (Leamington) are a good team.

“First and foremost we will go there to work hard and be hard to break down.”

The Magpies’ chief also indicated that it “might be a bit of stretch” for Oakley Hanger and Matt Oldring to return from their respective injuries in time.
