THE Magpies’ player-assistant Manager Nick Crittenden believes there are positives to take from their game against Cinderford Town, despite losing 4-0 at the Causeway.

Goals from Gethyn Hill, Kendall Chambers and Zack Kotwica saw the county town side sent to the bottom of the table after two straight losses in the league.

After the game, a defiant Crittenden told Echosport: “I think 4-0 doesn’t reflect the game.

“We were dominant in the first half and played well in parts in the second half.

“We didn’t create as much as we would have liked with the end product but there are a lot of positives to be taken.

“We have a young squad that are going to find it hard.

He added: “We have to get better, improve and start picking up some points.”

Crittenden was without four senior players for the trip to the Foresters and felt that it had an impact.

“We did take a hit as we have such a small squad, but, as I said to the players after the game if we played it again, we’d expect to win.”

Up next for the Magpies is a trip to Chesham where Crittenden hopes to have Mark Jermyn, Chris Dillon and Ben Wood back for the clash as they look to get their season back on track after the crushing defeat.
