DORCHESTER Town player-manager Mark Jermyn says his side will go out and attack in the FA Cup when they take on Banbury United tomorrow at the Avenue (3pm).

His side were knocked out in the first qualifying round – the same stage they enter this season – by Cirencester Town last year, and the boss wants his side to get the job done in 90 minutes against the Puritans.

He told Echosport: “The side that turns up on the day and is prepared to go the extra mile will go into the next round.

“They will be coming to our place looking to take us back to their ground.

“So, from our point of view, we would like to see the game done in 90 minutes.

“In the win at Banbury earlier in the season, we set up to defend and that worked.

“At home, we will take the game to them, much like we did at Weymouth on Monday.”

The only player set to miss the cup clash is Mario Mateus, who pulled up before the derby game with a thigh injury.

The rest of the squad is fit, meaning Jermyn is likely to name a similar side that played earlier in the week.

A player that will certainly miss out is Ben Walker, who has left the club for Wimborne Town.

The defender was brought in during the summer on a non-contract basis after he was released by Bournemouth.

But lack of games left Walker feeling frustrated and he has elected to move on.

Speaking about the young defender, Jermyn added: “He was brilliant for us last season, but he hasn’t got back to that level.

“He’s got a little frustrated over the lack of game time, so he’s going to be moving on.

“We will probably be in the market for another defender.”

Jamil Roberts, who signed for the county town side after Saturday’s defeat to Cambridge City is set for a place on the bench as the left back competes for the spot with Neil Martin and Ben Wood.

If the Magpies progress to the next round, they will earn £3,000 in prize money.
