LEWIS Morgan confirmed he has re-signed for Dorchester Town and is set to go into the Magpies’ squad for their home clash against Stratford Town at the Avenue today (3pm).

The midfielder opted to take a break from football with the imminent arrival of his first child back in December last year and was also struggling with an Achilles injury.

But he is now back as part of the Magpies’ squad and trained with the side this week.

Speaking about his return, he said: “I am buzzing and I can’t wait. It has been a long time out for me and I am excited to get back into it really.

“I have been keeping an eye on Dorchester’s results and there is a good bunch of lads they have got there, they are a good footballing team.

“I just think they need a bit more experience, a bit more fight and hopefully we can get a few more points.

“I am certain that we will get out of this relegation place and push on for the rest of the season.”

He added: “My Achilles tendon was really sore. It was on the borderline of snapping and I had to take some time out for it to get better.

“I am working with Emma the physio for a bit of management. I have trained on Tuesday and Thursday this week and it has felt good, so I am looking forward to going into Saturday.”
