MARK Jermyn has urged his side to be keep composed at key moments when the Magpies make the lengthy trip to King’s Lynn Town tomorrow (3pm).

The county town side were pegged back to a 1-1 draw with St Ives Town in midweek, with the player-boss insisting they had “umpteen chances” to find the net.

That, coupled with Dorchester conceding a late leveller, left the Avenue chief highly frustrated and he is looking to cut the mistakes out at crucial moments this weekend.

Jermyn said: “I take a lot of positives out of games when I can do and I did on Tuesday night.

“But, at the same time, there are underlying issues as to why we have been drawing games or losing games.

“I think the players just need to wake up and realise, when they are in those key positions, they need to concentrate.

“When you come to these games it’s about being clinical on the pitch.

“We can’t keep conceding soft goals.”

Ahead of the clash with the Linnets, he added: “It’s one of the longest trips we have and the players have to look after themselves accordingly.

“They are in a similar position to us at the moment and they are not a bad team.

“We can expect a very tough game.”
