DORCHESTER Town have confirmed they are set to welcome England legend Geoff Hurst for their end-of-season awards ceremony.

The striker, who famously scored a hat-trick to win the World Cup against West Germany at Wembley in 1966, has been confirmed as a special guest speaker at the event.

It is due to take place on Saturday, April 29 at the Trinity Club in Dorchester, starting at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £15 for CBS members, or £20 each for none-CBS members, with all tickets including a meal.

The evening will also host entertainment in the shape of a stand-up comedian, as well as the recognition of all achievements throughout the club this season.

Dress-code for the evening is described as smart-casual.

* The club have also confirmed that defender Toby Down has extended his loan deal until the end of the season.

Down has been impressive in central defence since his arrival from Exeter City, and manager Craig Laird will be thrilled to have secured his services until the end of the campaign.
