DORCHESTER Town Reserves take on Petersfield Town in the semi-final of the Wyvern Challenge Cup tonight at the Avenue (7.45pm).

The Magpies are approaching a crucial stage in their season, but manager Rich Robson is keen to keep his team grounded.

He said: “Obviously we got a big result last week against Basingstoke so we’re feeling good.

“All the lads are billing it as a big game and are trying to get people down to watch, but I’m keen to emphasise it’s just another development game, whether it’s a semi-final or not, all I want to see is our identity and our style of play.

“I just want us to show what we can do, and we’ve done this all the way through the season.

“We can’t focus too much on their game plan because if we stick to ours, we can beat anybody on our day.

“We just need to avoid changing anything in our preparation. It’s business as usual and we need to keep our routine. If we try anything special that changes the psychology of the team.

“Some players might relish the challenge but with us having a relatively young group of players, I’d rather just keep it as it is and keep them doing what they’ve done to this point.”

Robson confirmed that Sol Ayunga, Owen Nicolson, and Billy Mitchell are set to feature for his side.
