SHAUN Brooks has quit as manager of Dorchester Town Football Club.
The former Leyton Orient and Crystal Palace player leaves the county town outfit 19 months after joining in June 2007 when chairman Eddie Mitchell took over as majority shareholder.
Defender Roy O'Brien was axed by the club yesterday and it is expected that more players will follow as Mitchell attempts to balance the books.
It is believed that the decision to release several squad members played a part in Brooks' departure.
Mitchell says he has not made a decision on who will take charge of the team against Eastleigh on Saturday, vigorously denying rumours he was set to fill the void himself.
