EDDIE Mitchell has been made the new chairman of AFC Bournemouth this evening.

The property developer, who stepped down as chairman of Dorchester Town at the end of last week, will be joined on the Cherries' board by former Magpies' director Neill Blake, Adam Murry, Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly.

The Murry Group's takeover of AFC Bournemouth was made official earlier today.

Dave Roberts is the new chairman at the Jewson Stadium with Annie Greenslade being made vice-chairman.
