DORCHESTER Town owner Eddie Mitchell has emerged as a potential member of Jeff Mostyn's latest consortium to take control of AFC Bourne-mouth, the Echo understands.
The Cherries' chairman is believed to be fronting one of two new bids for the ailing Dean Court club, with former ally Marc Jackson leading the second offer - which was made to administrator Gerald Krasner just minutes before yesterday's creditors' meeting at Dean Court.
Jackson, Mostyn and vice-chairman Steve Sly's previous consortium, which had made an initial £1million offer to Krasner in March, collapsed late last week with "contractual issues" cited as the reason for the fall-out.
Mitchell, meanwhile, is understood to be considering his future with the Magpies, where he is the majority shareholder.
The county town side are on the cusp of relegation from the Blue Square South after crashing to a 4-0 defeat against high-flying Hampton & Richmond Borough last Saturday.
And sources close to the Echo claim property guru Mitchell is part of Mostyn and Sly's latest attempt to take the club out of administration.

Mitchell was first reported to have an interest in the Cherries when the club fell into administration back in February.
The Echo revealed in February how Mitchell was fronting a five-strong consortium to buy the Cherries, but the developer later cooled his interest, claiming Krasner's "advanced" negotiations with another party had put him off making a bid.
Krasner disputed that claim, insisting a representative for Mitchell had simply been urged to act quickly due to strong interest from other parties, but did admit that Mostyn had an exclusivity agreement in place.
Perhaps he can offload Brooks there, then we might be able to get a half decent manager for next season to get us out of the sh1t that Brooks has dropped us in.

All very convenient but who is going to come in on a white charger to save the financial side of the club then? Can't say many would argue with your comments about Shaun Brooks, but relegation is temporary, cash issues can have more permanent impact
