GROUND SHARE? The Magpies could move to Dean Court
EDDIE Mitchell would consider relocating Dorchester Town to Bournemouth in a ground share move should he be successful in a bid for the Cherries.
The Magpies' majority shareholder looked around the Cherries' Dean Court ground earlier this week after EU-UK Limited, the consortium thought to have won the race to purchase the ailing League One outfit, saw their bid fall through.
However, Mitchell, pictured right, was eager to stress his loyalty to the Magpies.
He told Echosport: "I was just having a look around the facilities and I was impressed with what I saw. I've only been to the stadium once before and that was to watch a game.
"If there's a piece of land that I think is worth a lot more than it's going for then I'm interested because I'm a businessman. I've got my commitments to Dorchester and that's where my efforts lie but I always look at all possibilities.
"I've no intentions of leaving Dorchester. Whether I'm able to purchase Bournemouth I don't know but I don't want to relinquish my ties with Dorchester.

"At the moment I'm just looking at whether Bournemouth is a viable business, if I'm unable to control it then I wouldn't buy it."
"If it feels right, without jeopardising Dorchester, then I'm in the frame."
The property developer, who took over
at the county town club last June,
believes the Magpies could benefit from any potential involvement with the
Cherries.
He added: "Having spent a year in football my honest opinion is that clubs at Dorchester's level need financial support, and some have had to amalgamate.
"Wouldn't it be good if I was able to get Dorchester playing at Bournemouth, enabling the ground to be used every Saturday and making the club more financially sound?
"The fans would have to look at the bigger picture of course, however, there's a long way to go yet. It's all just pie in the sky at the moment."
Mitchell, previously part of a failed consortium with Jeff Mostyn, seems keen to go it alone from now on.
He said: "I don't really relish the thought of having partners so there's no one else involved with my interest."
The Cherries ground-shared with Dorchester while Dean Court was being redeveloped at the start of the 2001/02 season. Sean O'Driscoll's side played nine league and cup matches at the Avenue Stadium.
This proves that Mitchell is TOTALLY INSANE.
GET THE MEN IN WHITE COATS IN THE MAN IS AN EMBARASSMENT
[bold]I DONT WANT HIM CONNECTED TO THE MAGPIES IN ANY WAY - DOES ANYONE ELSE?[/bold]

Wouldn't it be good if we stopped reading this inane drivel in the press - if this isn't what EM has said then he needs to put the record straight pretty pronto as footie fans generally don't take best to having their club messed around with. Who in their right mind is gonna travel a round trip of 70 miles to watch a team in the southern premier. You just could't script it can you? Who needs Eastenders when we've got Sandbankers
