A FIELD of 387 runners were greeted across the finish line of the Stickler race, which is also known as Dorset’s three-peak challenge.
Competitors raced through 10.1 miles of hilly countryside including the Stickle path, Okeford, Hod and Hambledon Hills, before finishing along the platform of the Shilling-stone Railway Project.
The conditions were ideal with an average temperature of 15 degrees and a slight breeze along the hills. The race was won by Anth-ony Clark from Poole Runners in 1hr 5mins 42secs, with Daisy Hall from Stubbington Green Runners taking the ladies first prize in 1:18:02.
A special prize went to Jean Henry of Westbourne Running Club, who has completed all 20 Stickler races and she also finished first in the FV50 category.
