SEABOROUGH handler Harry Fry believes stable star Rock on Ruby is “back on his A game” and is declared to run in today’s Aintree Hurdle.

Fry’s charge had picked up a bug which caused him to miss out on the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham last month with Fry declaring he had “worked poorly at home”.

But the Dorset trainer believes Ruby is fully ready for today’s challenge and Noel Fehily will renew his partnership with the 10-year-old.

Fry told his official website: “I am pleased to report Rock On Ruby is bang on course for Aintree after recovering from the bug that caused him to miss the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham.

“We immediately put him on a course of antibiotics which seemed to do the trick and he has been pleasing in his work again over the last fortnight.

“We were hoping to take Ruby away for a racecourse gallop this week but fast ground put paid to that plan.

“So Noel Fehily came down to sit on him and was clearly delighted with his well-being.

“We feel that Ruby is back on his A game.”

Fry will be looking to continue his stable’s success after Bitofapuzzle claimed the Mares Novice Hurdle Championship Final at Fairyhouse over the Easter Weekend.
