THE second round of the Clay Pigeon Kart Club championship produced a superb day of racing.

The TKM Southern Championship also began its 2015 series with the first round at the Clay Pigeon Raceway, and that also supplied fantastic entertainment in both junior and senior classes.

Tommy Foster took the first race win in the Minimax’s, as Thomas Edmunds finished second and Ryan Taylor-Trueman claimed third.

Next saw the Junior Blues take to the circuit, and Jake Drew Calvert came out on top ahead of Luke Lattimer, with front-runner Taylor Waldron retiring after a strong start.

Junior TKM saw an early win for Louis Beaven, and the first Senior TKM race of the day witnessed Charlie-Bruce White clinching his fifth victory in a row this season.

Luke Griffen held off Shanaka Clay in the Senior Max class, while Toby Harlow took third as an unlucky Joe Pfiffner crashed.

The last of the first heats saw victory for Chris Derrick in the Senior Blues.

Bruce-White could not continue his good form in the second Senior TKM heat so Luke Barton took the win.

Clay dominated the Senior Max class, and the 177/Masters’ second heat was won by Colin Davis.

The Junior TKM saw Ross Deal take the win as he finally claimed a decent result after a very unlucky first couple of heats.

Davis did the double in the 177s, as did Clay in the Max class.

The Minimax's got the finals underway, with Taylor-Trueman and William Uphill finishing first and second, while Clay produced a dominant display to storm home in the Senior Max.

The second round of the year will be followed by the third stage of the championship on Sunday, May 10.
