OLYMPIC champion Michael Jung added another major title to his considerable collection on Sunday when he won the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in Lincolnshire, while Dorset’s William Fox-Pitt finished 10th overall.
Jung became the first German in Burghley's 54-year history to win the event after jumping a clear showjumping round on his London 2012 gold medallist La Biosthetique-Sam.
Tina Cook, the 2009 European individual gold medallist, was leading British rider in eighth place on Star Witness, two positions above Sturminster Newton’s Fox-Pitt on four-star debutant Fernhill Pimms.
