TWO teams from the south west will compete in the Team Quest Regional Finals at Burrows Court in Gloucestershire tomorrow.

The teams, It’s All About The Bling and Reining Chaos, are set to take part in the dressage.

There are currently 45 teams in the south west region with the top 15 battling to qualify for the regional finals since March.

It’s All About The Bling are currently the highest scoring team in the south west and Reining Chaos are sitting in 13th.

The top three teams from the regional finals progress to the national finals in November.

Reining Chaos compete in their trademark red t-shirts and consist of four members.

Ruth Waters, with her horse Sammy, is a veterinary nurse and organiser of dog agility events – Sammy is loaned from local saddler Alix Carter.

Doctor Charlotte Hill rides her pony Owen, paediatric intensive care nurse Natalie Webb goes on her pony Millie, and Helen Gilbert, a stay at home mum, also rides Millie.

All of It's All About The Bling's members are from Dorset.

Jackie Warren-George is a neo-natal nurse in Dorchester, Caroline Thrower is a liquidity product manager, Annie Frampton-Hobbs works at Bryanston School and Moira Bonner is a freelance riding instructor.

Warren-George and Thrower ride Owain, a six-year-old Welsh section D gelding, Frampton-Hobbs rides Flash, a nine-year-old New Forest gelding, and Bonner is on board Chutney, a six-year-old Warmblood gelding.

The horses are all kept at Moreton Equestrian Centre, which is owned by Liz Frampton-Hobbs, where a lot of the team's training and competing has taken place.

Hill said: “We are all very excited to have the opportunity to go and represent Dorset at the regionals.

“The competitions have inspired us to train more and continue next year.

“The regionals are due to be based in Dorset next year, which is really exciting as I hope this may encourage more local riders to take part.”
