DORSET handler Anthony Honeyball saw Lily Waugh continue her impressive form as she did enough to scoop the mytotepool.com Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Mares’ Handicap Hurdle at Taunton.

Going off an 11/4 favourite, the eight-year-old saw off competition from 7/1 shot Woodland Walk and the Nicky Henderson-trained Quiet Candid, who finished second and third respectively.

Honeyball’s charge, ridden by David Noonan, led from two fences out and finished strongly to land her second win in November, following up from an impressive showing at Wincanton.

Speaking after that victory, the Mosterton trainer told his official website: “It was no more than she deserves after running well so often over the past three seasons.

“Lily Waugh was the first winner for the yard since we agreed a sponsorship deal with Geegeez.co.uk whose director Matt Bisogno is such an enthusiastic supporter of ours."

Meanwhile, there was also joy earlier this week for Colin Tizzard, as he saw Wizards Bridge land the Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase at Exeter under the guidance of Aidan Coleman.
