There was great weather at Ilfracombe where, against a stunning backdrop, the ladies’ vets’ crew fought for second and third place with the super vets’ ladies finishing third in their heat.
Bridport hosted a successful regatta and once again the sun came out and crowds enjoyed the spectacle of gigs from 12 clubs from all over the south west racing across the bay.
The Weymouth ladies’ A crew surged ahead with a very impressive win in their heat. The youth crew battled hard and achieved a well-deserved third place.
The club’s men’s C crew were pleased with second place and the ladies’ C were jubilant at achieving first place in their heat. The ladies’ vets’ crew came first and the super vets claimed second place.
Weymouth were fourth overall at the regatta with Brixham being crowned the overall winners. The club also wish to thank Bridport and Ilfracombe Rowing Clubs for organising two great regattas.
