JAY Lelliott absolutely romped to victory in the 19-and-over 1500 metre freestyle in his third event of the British Summer Championships in Sheffield.
The Portland star recorded a blistering time of 15 minutes 04.97 seconds to secure a gold medal while swimming in the fastest heat of the overall competition.
The former Tornadoes of South Dorset youngster bagged his first gold of the week following silver medals in the 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly earlier in the competition.
