DORCHESTER Tennis & Squash Club have announced the appointment of Sarah Skidmore as head tennis coach.
Skidmore, who joined the club as a member in 1990, will oversee a thriving coaching programme at the club premises in Sawmills Lane, Dorchester, where she is currently responsible for training 100 people of all ages, having stepped up to the coaching team in 1996.
She was appointed temporary head coach in September last year, and has now accepted the position on a more permanent basis.
Skidmore has?an LTA Club Coach award and was the Dorset volunteer of the year for 2011-2012, an accolade awarded for her services to tennis.
Club chairman, Neil Foster, said: “Sarah is a very popular and competent tennis coach, team player and club member.
“She is a real asset to Dorchester Tennis & Squash club.
“I am really pleased that she has been appointed to this role and I am in no doubt that the coaching programme will go from strength to strength under her leadership.
“I wish Sarah every success as the head coach.”
