WEST Dorset Swimming Club took an impressive team to the Dorset County Championships at the Littledown Centre, Bournemouth, and the 1610 Centre, Dorchester.

The event, held over three weekends in February, saw the team compete in 353 swims, with a staggering 261 personal best times, had 19 county finalists competing in an astonishing 63 finals over the month.

From those finalists, West Dorset secured 28 medals, including six gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze.

A Club spokesman said: “As a Club we have gone from strength to strength in the last year, and the swimmers’ hard work in training truly showed.

“We are incredibly proud of all our swimmers that took part.”
