DORSET rider Yazmin Davis stormed to victory in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at the Wales and West Show in Chepstow on Monday.
Davis, 23, from Blandford, jumped a treble clear with eight year-old gelding Zanbowa Z, finishing her final round in 43.20 seconds.
The talented rider beat 57 other rider and horse combinations to secure a direct entry to the Senior Foxhunter Championship final at the Horse of the Year show in Birmingham this October.
Leamington Spa’s Jamie Wingrove, on board seven year-old mare Heartstring, also jumped a treble clear but missed out to Davis by just 0.85 seconds in second place.
Victory at Chepstow also qualifies Davis for the British National Showjumping Championships at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre in August.
Based in Dorset at Ribbonwood Farm Stables, Davis last year clinched a third place in the under-23 World Class Championships at Olympia.
