THE playground was full of bikes and scooters at Winterbourne Valley First School this week for the Bikeathon.
Each class from the school took turns in completing laps around their playground to see how far each could go.
Dorchester Area School Partnership's head of PE (DASP) Levi Dailey said: "This was an exceptional morning at Winterbourne with all the pupils – even pre-school pupils all coming out and trying their hardest.
"One mention must go to the staff at Winterbourne for all jumping into the challenge with the pupils.
"Excellently lead by Mrs Flux who jumped on a scooter too.
"This was a fantastic event at Winterbourne Valley which shows how strong the pupils and staff are there.
"In total the school managed to travel a whopping 60 miles.
"Special mention must go to Mr Treble who ran the event flawlessly."
