RECORDS were broken as Thomas Hardye School ran their annual Sports Day for both Year Nine and Year 10 students.
An array of events took place from the traditional athletics events of running, throwing and jumping to sporting challenges such as wing a wellie, space hopper races, five a-side football and splat the rat, alongside a frisbee throwing competition.
Thomas Hardye splits their Sports Day into two separate competitions with the Year Nines competing in the morning and the Year 10s competing in the afternoon. Within the competitions, students are trying to achieve as many points for their college team.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The students were impeccable throughout the day, turning up to their events showing plenty of effort and endeavour to achieve highly for their college.”
Some stand-out performers broke previous school records, some dating back to the year 2000.
