TOP shooting from goal attack Becky Hallet helped earn Saint Security a fine top-flight victory.

The first quarter saw energetic, end-to-end play with great focus and superb marking from Saint’s defenders.

Cresta made the most of scoring opportunities, thanks to excellent shooting from GA Sue Woolkey to carve out a small lead going into the middle quarters.

Despite having only six players, Cresta dominated the court with strong attacking play.

Saint’s WD, Jade Lewendon, fought back in the mid-court to gain possession for her team, helping her side pull ahead by one point.

Cresta fought hard to lower the score difference, with GK Jayne Guppy displaying excellent defensive tactics in the D.

Saints upped the pace, with quick and accurate goals down the court allowing them to further increase their lead.

Saints kept up their strong play, with accurate shooting from Hallet despite determined marking from Cresta. Saints defenders gave their all, preventing scoring opportunities for Cresta and ultimately taking the victory.

COASTAL Cheese coasted to victory over Meraki after showing fierce determination.

WA Sian Whitlock made fantastic use of space to move the ball down to her shooters.

Meraki fought well, with well-timed interceptions from WA Kath Day.

Coastal continued to move well down the court, where their shooters made a string of accurate shots to gain a small lead.

Meraki upped their game, with C Kerry Osborn displaying brilliant tactical play in the mid-court – however, precise passing from Coastal ensured they continued to get the ball to the D.

Coastal’s spectacular teamwork allowed them to score quickly off their centre passes, and impressive defence limited Meraki’s scoring opportunities, allowing Coastal to further increase their lead going into the final quarter.

Both teams kept high spirits as the match came to a climax.

With overall phenomenal play, Coastal Cheese claimed the victory and continue their well-fought winning streak.
