DORSET Ladies' Indoor BA brought down the curtain on a very successful season with their presentation lunch at Swanage.
President Cynthea Reed hosted the occasion at the Pines Hotel, for nearly 50 members and guests representing all the county's clubs.
Highlight of the campaign was Dorset beating Devon and Somerset to reach the quarter-finals of the Atherley Trophy before losing narrowly to eventual national runners-up Surrey while on the club front Bournemouth were finalists in the Egham Trophy (national mixed fours) and Vivienne Mansell from Isle of Purbeck was runner-up in the Champion of Champions at Nottingham.
Kath Desmond captured the Dorset singles but that was Moonfleet 2000's only winning trophy as they finished runners-up in Division One and Two as well as the Knock-out Cup.
Clubs from the east dominated the ladies' league with Division Two champions Dolphin completing a league and cup double and Bournemouth carrying off the Division One and Mixed League honours.
President Reed had the pleasure of her own club Dorchester winning several trophies including the two-wood triples which was retained by Julie Corbin, Isabelle Addison and Brenda Wakely.
