DORCHESTER must be thinking that things can only get better.

After targeting two must-win games and only picking up three points from a possible 10 against sides around them in the league the rest of the season looks an ominous task for the county town outfit.

The challenge doesn’t become any easier tomorrow as leaders Wells are due to visit Coburg Road (2.15pm).

Wells have an impressive record, having won all of their 12 games so far in the league.

Last week, Dorchester were beaten 7-3 by Corsham in Southern Counties South to leave them sitting one place off the bottom of the league on 14 points.

Assistant coach Gareth Biddle said: “From now until the end of the season, we will look to give a few more players some first-team experience.

“Given everything we’ve been through so far this season the big positives have been the emergence of players like Sam Jones, Richard Deacon and Cameron Lynch.

“You can also add James McQuillan to that mix.”

Meanwhile, Dorchester Seconds travel to Poole and will be itching for action after not having played a Dorset & Wilts Two match since before Christmas.

Weymouth Seconds go to Frome Thirds, while Puddletown are without a league fixture this week.

In Dorset & Wilts One, Bridport will look to follow up their 27-0 victory over Westbury last week, when they entertain Warminster tomorrow (2.15pm).

Finally, Swanage & Wareham are away to Trowbridge in Southern Counties South.
