DORCHESTER tasted success for the first time this season last weekend and head coach Martyn Peel will be after more of the same when his team visit Corsham tomorrow (3pm).

The Coburg Road side will have gained lots of confidence from their bonus-point victory against Bradford-on-Avon, which was achieved with a determined performance that lasted the full 80 minutes.

Corsham have won twice this term in Southern Counties South but lost 24-6 at home to Sherborne last time out.

“Games between these two sides tend to be close and very physical, and Dorchester will go well prepared as, once again, numbers have been very good at training,” said county town secretary Andrew Smith.

“We have selected a very strong side and will be looking for a win to build on last week’s success to consolidate their position in the league.”

League leaders Swanage & Wareham can consolidate first place with a win against Supermarine, who have lost all four of their games so far.

In Dorset & Wilts Two South, Dorchester Seconds entertain Puddletown.

The visitors have enjoyed a good start to the season compared to their hosts.

Form would put Puddletown as favourites, however, local derbies have a knack of turning the form book on its head.

The Villagers will be looking to taste victory for the first time in three seasons against Dorchester.

Weymouth & Portland should have a few squad members back from injury for their trip to North Dorset Thirds.

A side missing a couple of key figures were still far too good for New Milton last Saturday, though skipper Kevin Leatham isn’t quite sure what to expect from tomorrow’s opponents.

He said: “North Dorset is such a big club that although, we are playing their third XV, you never quite know who will be available for them.

“We are looking forward to it and Ryan Lewendon is back on the openside, and Steve Nation-Grainger is available to play at full-back.”

Bridport will be aiming to repair the damage caused by a 62-0 thrashing at Salisbury Seconds when they entertain Swanage & Wareham Seconds.

Weymouth & Portland Sec-onds welcome Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew to Monmouth Avenue in Dorset & Wilts Three South.

Meanwhile, in Dorset & Wilts Four, after losing away at Win-canton and receiving a walkover against Bridport Seconds, Dorch-ester Thirds can record their first proper win of the season when they take on Lytchett Minster Seconds at Coburg Road.

In the same division, Bridport Seconds face visiting Swanage & Wareham Fourths, and Wey-mouth & Portland Thirds are away to Wincanton.
