IT is derby day in Dorset & Wilts Two South tomorrow as Dorchester Seconds welcome Weymouth & Portland to Coburg Road (2.15pm).

The visitors hold the bragging rights after a 38-18 victory over their rivals at Monmouth Avenue in September.

But that, and last weekend’s 57-0 thrashing by Salisbury Seconds, is likely to spur Dorchester into action when the games kicks off.

As for Weymouth & Portland, comfortable 40-13 winners over Bournemouth Thirds last time out, they could move into the top four with another triumph.

“We’re only two points behind Puddletown now,” said skipper Kevin Leatham. “If we win tomorrow we could overtake them, though it depends how they do in their match.

“It’s always good to have a local derby just before Christmas and everyone is looking forward to it.”

Steve Nation-Grainger, a try scorer against Bournemouth, and George Carter are due to miss the clash through unavailability.

Puddletown will not want to relinquish fourth place when they host Ellingham & Ringwood (2.15pm).

The Villagers nearly held on for a losing bonus point at Swanage & Wareham Seconds, before eventually going down 28-15.

Bridport were very unlucky not to become the first side to beat East Dorset last Saturday.

A two-point loss was hard on the Blues, but travelling to rock bottom North Dorset Thirds tomorrow (2.15pm) should see them bounce back in style.

After conceding their fixture away to Bournemouth Fourths in Dorset & Wilts Three South, Weymouth & Portland Seconds are scheduled to entertain South Wilts (2.15pm).

Their opponents caused an upset when they thrashed Dorset Dockers Seconds last Saturday.

Down in Dorset & Wilts Four, Dorchester Thirds go to Swanage & Wareham Fourths (2.15pm).
