DORCHESTER get the opportunity to show Sherborne they still have plenty of fight left in them this season when the sides clash at Coburg Road tomorrow (2.30pm).

Sherborne dished out a Southern Counties South hammering when they hosted Martyn Peel's men last December, with the county town outfit suffering a 70-5 reverse.

Dorchester are looking to follow up their 68-0 rout of Supermarine two weekends ago with another positive performance this time around.

Head coach Peel felt the team's display at bottom club Supermarine was Dorchester's best of the campaign, albeit against a team that was already relegated.

Third-placed Sherborne will present an altogether different challenge.

The side from north Dorset are, as ever, riding high in the top four of the league, although they never quite seem to be able to challenge for promotion.

Peel will be hoping that his side can match their opponents' physicality and the slick play of their back line.

He said: “While we lost heavily away earlier in the season, we have shown at times this season we can compete.

“This will be another game where we will have to be at our very best, just the sort of challenge any player relishes.

“We have our game to play and we will need to ensure we don't allow Sherborne to get into their stride.”

At the very summit of Southern Counties South, a win for Swanage & Wareham at Wimborne tomorrow (2.30pm) would be enough to give them the title.

In Dorset & Wilts Two South, Dorchester Seconds travel to the Brewery Field for a local derby against in-form Bridport (3pm).

Although the Blues lie below Dorchester in the league it will be a tough game for the visitors, especially as the hosts have won their last three matches.

Puddletown go to Salisbury Seconds and Weymouth & Portland host Ellingham & Ringwood Seconds (both 3pm) in the same division.

Meanwhile, Weymouth & Portland Seconds make the trip to Oakmeadians Seconds in Dorset & Wilts Three South and Dorchester Thirds visit Swanage & Wareham Fourths in Dorset & Wilts Four (also 3pm).

Dorchester have scored a total of 200 points in two games against the Swans.
