WEYMOUTH & Portland visit Wimborne tomorrow to meet the hosts’ second team in a Dorset & Wilts One South fixture (3pm).

Both sides have an identical record of played three, won two, losing once. However, Paul Harding’s charges have a superior points differential and lie in fifth place in the table two places above Wimborne who are in seventh.

Still buoyant after last week’s 33-0 defeat of Bournemouth Thirds, first-team manager Vaughan Carter said: “We have been forced into making changes to our squad due to non-availabilities and injury.

“However, I still think that we are good enough to return with a win, but we are under no illusions that it will be a tough game.”

Chris Lewendon and Carl Dean both return as does back-row George Carter who has missed all of the games so far his season due to his recovery from a closed-season knee operation.

Carter’s knee has stood up well in training and he came on for the final 10 minutes last week with no problems so he starts tomorrow

In Dorset & Wilts Three, Weymouth & Portland’s seconds host Oakmeadians’ third team at Monmouth Avenue with both games kicking off at 3pm.
