WEYMOUTH & PORTLAND 98
EAST DORSET 0
STRUGGLING East Dorset had no answer as a rampant Weymouth & Portland side racked up 98 points in Dorset & Wilts One South.
Home centre Joel Wilson banked a double hat-trick, crossing for six tries with winger Norton Rodgers touching down on four occasions.
Bryn Llewellyn also tallied up a hat-trick of touchdowns with scrum-half Gordon Tye adding a try of his own as the hosts notched a total of 14 in the rout.
Llewellyn landed nine conversions and skipper Ryan Llewendon five.
Seasiders’ head coach Paul Harding said: “We totally dominated from kick-off until full time, our forwards did the hard yards allowing the backs to run at them with pace and cut them to ribbons.
“We play East Dorset again this weekend in the semi-final of the Dorset & Wilts Knockout Vase, but that is at their place and another game on another day so we will have to put this result out of our minds.”
This results leaves Weymouth & Portland sixth in the table on 20 points.
