BOTH of Dorchester’s senior sides are looking to build momentum this weekend.

Dorchester’s firsts entertain Sherborne Seconds under floodlights tomorrow night in Dorset & Wilts South One league action before the seconds look for three victories in a row when they travel to Bridport on Saturday in a Dorset & Wilts Two South clash.

Injuries mean there are plenty of changes to the first team as Dave Cottell and Tom Evans return to the front row.

Lee King and Adam Makepeace rekindle their second row partnership and Callum King moves across to centre alongside Jamie Morgan.

Following a man-of-the-match display in the Seconds’ win against Salisbury, Etienne Peach adds speed on the wing.

This week also sees the club welcome back James Newsam to the team

following his return from Taunton RFC.

The former club captain makes his first league appearance for Dorchester in more than a year and is sure to make a nuisance of himself in his preferred back row position.

The Seconds, fresh from two hard-earned victories in a row look to claim a hat-trick of wins away to Bridport.

Chris Elliot and Luke Doherty look to shore up the front row and Tim Stephens makes a welcome return to the second row with Laurence Burch.

Newcomer James Stacey-Mark continues in the centre following a great start at Salisbury.

John Elliott and Nick Hodge bring years of experience to the bench.

The Under-13s as well as Under-14s play Taunton at home as do Under-16s who are up against Lytchett Minster.

Next weekend sees no senior games at Dorchester as the club hosts the Santa Fun Run for Weldmar Hospice.

The run is open to all and registration can be made on the day.

Details can be found on the Weldmar hospice website and through their social media pages.

It is only a two-mile run and suitable for all ages.
