DORCHESTER resume their league campaign when they travel to East Dorset in Dorset & Wilts One South tomorrow (2.15pm).

With momentum beginning to build at the club and performances improving, new coach Ben Parker and Dorchester’s stalwart player/coach Rich Bament, look to continue the positive feeling and take a good mixture of youth and experience to Iford Lane.

With the pack beginning to settle and more consistent selection, Parker is sure the corner to better team performances is being turned.

A strong front row of Duncan Inwood, Dave Cottell and Tom Evans look to shore up the scrum and Adam Makepeace joins Lee King back in the second row to add to the experienced pack.

James Newsam remains in the back row and looks to put in another fine performance after his return from Taunton RFC, meanwhile the backs have the added presence of Toby Waddington and Luke Robson to provide some strong running and hard tackling.

The team, both playing and coaching, are looking for a strong confidence building win ahead of next weekend’s local derby against Weymouth & Portland.

The Ridgeway Rumble is sure to be a great game and both sides will want to head into the Christmas break with a win over their local rivals as an early present.

Dorchester Seconds entertain North Dorset at Coburg Road (2.15pm) and following a hard-fought win against Weymouth last weekend in the Seconds Shield, look to take their cup form into the league in what will undoubtedly be a tough hard fought game.

Tom Bamlet is welcomed back to the front row and the strong running Iwan Mullin continues in the mobile pack of forwards.

Tim Stephens and Paul Broadbent partner up in the second row with Etienne Peach providing speed in the backs. With Martin Harvey, Stuart Gill and Jamie Ritchie all available, the forward division is not lacking in experience and power.
