FOLLOWING a weekend lost to frozen pitches, Dorchester’s first and second teams are hoping to have to a welcome return to action tomorrow.

The county town club’s first XV entertain Oakmeadians at home in Dorset & Wilts One South (2.15pm).

Having moved up to fourth place in the league, the first XV look to push on to a top-three place and continue their recent good form.

The coaches have named a strong squad with new faces coming into the side.

Nathan Fox, having impressed off the bench, makes his first start in the front row for the first XV. Zak Paton returns to the fold after time away, and Julian Dale finally makes his debut at home for the firsts.

With strength and depth in the squad, Dorchester hope to collect maximum points against Oakmeadians, who currently sit eighth in the table.

County town coaches Ben Parker and Rich Bament said: “Last Saturday was frustrating and we were looking to dominate the game and take maximum points.

“However we now look to this game against our near neighbours Oakmeadians to get the momentum moving again and step up from the things we learned in our last game.

n The second XV, still on a high from a big win over Lytchett Minster Seconds, travel to table-topping New Milton in Dorset & Wilts Two South.
