WEYMOUTH & Portland manager Vaughan Carter has said they don’t know what to expect ahead of their visit to East Dorset Rugby Club tomorrow (3pm).

The Seasiders currently sit in fifth place in Dorset & Wilts One South after winning 10 of their 16 outings, but Carter is expecting a tough test.

He said: “They have only won two games this season and we put almost 100 points on them at home in the league, then seven days later at their place we struggled to beat them in a cup match.”

Weymouth welcome back flanker George Carter after an operation to repair a damaged tendon in his hand.

Seasiders: Comben, Wildman, Leatham, Drummond, Bowditch, Allan, Llewellyn, Young, Billington Davies, Murphy, Davis, Simler, R Lewendon, C Lewendon, Hayne, Melhuish, Carter.

*Elsewhere, the second XV entertain Wimborne Thirds at Monmouth Avenue (2.15pm).

*Last Sunday a squad of boys and girls from Weymouth & Portland entered the 02 Touch Rugby Festival at Harlequins' Stoop ground in London, before attending the England Italy Six Nations International at Twickenham.

Club chairman Ian McMillan said: “The boys and girls managed to get to the semi-finals and eventually finished third. It was a great experience for them playing at the Stoop and then going to Twickenham.

“We are always looking to add to our squad of touch players so if anyone is interested just turn up at the club in Monmouth Avenue on Sunday mornings and we will make them welcome”.
