WITH no league games over the Easter weekend the focus at Dorchester Rugby Club is on family fun.

Good Friday sees a family fun day starting at 1.30pm with a Dorchester Select XV taking on a Surcouf XV later in the afternoon.

Lloyd Surcouf, long-time player, benefactor and committee member at Dorchester Rugby Club came up with the idea for a family fun day five years ago and this year’s event promises fun for all. Lloyd and his family organise and run the event, which raises much needed funds for the club.

A friendly game kicks off at 2.30 with a Dorchester XV taking on a Surcouf XV consisting of former players, veterans from the club a number of up and coming players from the current set up and members of the Surcouf family.

There will be a bouncy castle, hog roast, outdoor bar and a fantastic atmosphere is guaranteed for all to enjoy. The event is free to come along and watch and all are welcome.
