SALISBURY II 0
WEYMOUTH 18
WEYMOUTH remain hot on the heels of leaders Dorch-ester after winning at Salisbury Seconds in Dorset & Wilts One South.
The Seasiders showed no signs of rustiness having gone two weekends without a fixture as they overcame bogey side Salisbury on their own turf, shutting out the hosts for the entire 80 minutes to put extra gloss on the victory.
Weymouth suffered defeat at the hands of Bridport in their previous outing but put that frustration behind them on Saturday to stay a point adrift of their close rivals.
Next up for Tony Worle’s side is a home clash with Wimborne Seconds this coming Saturday.
Meanwhile, Puddletown were on the wrong end of a shut out as they went down 18-0 at Westbury in Dorset & Wilts One South.
The Villagers are still without a league win since the opening day of the season and are left second from bottom in the standings.
