DORCHESTER Ducks, Spot the Ball and Weymouth Flys are the joint leaders at the early stages of this year’s Summer Tag Rugby League.
All three teams managed two wins from their first three games while William Wonders and Men in Black, who complete the league, have managed one win each.
Spot the Ball got the competition underway with a 9-6 victory over the Wonders while the Flys got off to a flying opening as they beat the Men in Black 6-5 before disposing of the Ducks 9-5.
Men in Black suffered a second defeat on the night as they went down 7-5 at the hands of Spot the Ball.
The latter however, came unstuck 9-7 against Dorchester Ducks in their third fixture. Wonders then also fell victim to the county town side 9-8 but managed to overcome Men in Black 6-5.
After three straight losses, Men in Black finally got off the mark with a 7-6 win over Weymouth Flys.
Round One: William Wonders 6 Spot the Ball 9, Men in Black 5 Weymouth Flys 6, Dorchester Ducks 5 Weymouth Flys 9, Men in Black 5 Spot the Ball 7.
Round Two: Men in Black 5 William Wonders 6, Dorchester Ducks 9 Spot the Ball 7, Dorchester Ducks 9 William Wonders 8, Weymouth Flys 6 Men in Black 7.
