NORTH DORSET II 29 WEYMOUTH 0
WEYMOUTH saw their perfect start to the season come to an end at North Dorset Seconds.
The Seasiders went into the game with two Dorset & Wilts One South victories, and a Southern Counties Cup win, behind them.
But they returned to Weymouth on Saturday with a 29-0 defeat at the hands of a side that had yet to record a league win this term.
Director of rugby Barry Ross-Mackenzie said: “North Dorset played better on the day so the better team won. They played well but we didn’t really contain them.
“Having said that we arrived at the ground a tad late, we didn’t warm-up correctly and it showed on the pitch.
“To be honest I’m a bit lost for words by it all.”
Captain Mark Sample said: “It was just a bad day at the office. Too many people under performed.”
Weymouth, who drop to third in the table, will look for an immediate return to winning ways when they host Oakmeadians Seconds this Saturday.
Ross-Mackenzie added: “Oakmeadians are a strong outfit and they beat Westbury 86-0 at the weekend, so it’ll be another tough game for us.”
