PAUL Harding has paid tribute to Nick Sheppard after the Weymouth youngster secured a place in the Dorset & Wilts Under-20 squad.

The fly-half has turned in a host of impressive displays this season, helping the Monmouth Avenue side lift the Dorset & Wilts Plate and climb to top spot in Dorset & Wilts One South.

And as a reward for his hard work, the Weymouth College student made the Twin Counties’ squad for the recent defeat to Buckinghamshire.

Harding, head coach at Weymouth, said: “He has been superb all season so we are delighted to see him get through the selection process and into the final squad.

“It’s fantastic that he will be representing the club and we wish him all the best.

“He has put in a lot of hard work this year and he’s been a good acquisition for us.”
