ELUSIVE BLUE: Riki Stubbs breaks through the Weymouth ranks
BRIDPORT beat Weymouth at the Brewery Ground to all but secure third place in Dorset & Wilts One South and potential promotion.
The Blues came out on top 19-17 after a late comeback - much to the annoyance of Seasiders' coach Barry Ross-Mackenzie.
He said: "We were in the lead but
three penalties in the last ten minutes or so saw us lose. We're not too
happy because we had it won.
"We should win our final game of the season on Saturday and so should Bridport, so they will most likely finish third."
Bridport's success saw them take a two-point lead in third spot, but defeat at Wimborne II and victory for the Seasiders against bottom side Blandford will change that given Weymouth's superior points difference.
