A PATCHED up Dorchester side suffered a mauling at Southern Counties South leaders Trowbridge but can still avoid relegation with just one game to go.
The county town outfit made the long journey to Trowbridge expecting an extremely testing afternoon and they were not to be disappointed.
With several players making their debuts and an average age of just 22 the visitors struggled to contain a Trowbridge side full of confidence having won the Dorset & Wilts Vase the previous week.

On the plus side Dorchester scrummaged well all afternoon and competed well at the breakdown.
They failed however, to come to terms with the hosts' speed and power out wide with several of Trowbridge's tries coming from simple missed tackles when one-on-one. Dorchester also struggled in the line-outs - unsurprising given the fact there were no recognised jumpers in the starting XV.
The table-toppers' tries came courtesy of Ashley Chalk (3), Alex Hill (3), skipper Adam Sullivan (2), Barry Coombs, Lloyd Davis, Michael Johnston, Karl Parry and Shane Johnstone.
The basement boys finish their season with a home game against Oakmeadians on Saturday knowing that anything other than victory will surely see them relegated.
Man of the Match: Lee King
Dorchester: Hodgson, Chalker (Pengelly 60), Borries, King, Prior, Brown (Dixon 65), Newsam, D Gower, Weller, Jones, T Gower T, J Gower (Armitage 45), Elliott, Kelleway, Spensley.
