LEE Springthorpe led the charge for the Wildcats at Mildenhall on Sunday evening but it was not enough as their quest for victory on their return to action goes on.
The former Radipole Lane outfit were competitive across the six heats at Mildenhall in the development challenge meet with some mechanical gremlins also rearing their head to thwart the Weymouth side.
Springthorpe was on top form however, recording eight of his side’s haul of 15 to be the standout Wildcats’ performer on the night.
There were also four points for Connor Locke, two for Niall Strudwick and a solitary point for Connor Fletcher.
