WEYMOUTH Wildcats co-promoter James Tresadern confirmed the club would be using Plymouth’s St Boniface Arena to stage meetings next season.

The Wildcats, who saw their former home on Radipole Lane repossessed in November 2010, are set to take to the shale at the Devon-based venue this year and are also hoping to be part of a development league structure for the upcoming season.

Tresadern, who travelled the country as the Wildcats returned to the track for development challenge meetings away from home last term, said: “We did what we did last year because we want to get it back up and running.

“We have a base now.”

He added: “Plymouth approached us with an offer to use their track.

“We have so many plans coming out of our heads now.

“I am going to approach the guys down there to see if we can hold a full scale meeting when they are not racing. That’s what we will probably try and do.”

He continued: “So much has happened in the last 24 hours, it’s like we are trying to catch up with ourselves now.”

The Plymouth Devils themselves almost went out of business last year before announcing they had been saved from closure in November.
