WILDCATS co-promoter James Tresadern expressed his gratitude to Plymouth Speedway for helping the Weymouth side get back on track.

The former Radipole Lane outfit, who have been searching for a potential site for a speedway venue in the area throughout recent years, have been welcomed to Plymouth’s St Boniface Arena to take part in Southern Development League home fixtures this term.

And Tresadern admits he is full of thanks for Plymouth chief Laurence Rogers for making the Weymouth side feel so welcome.

“I can’t thank the Plymouth promotion enough for allowing us down there,” the Cats’ co-promoter told Echosport.

“The track and the arena is just absolutely immaculate and it is just a superb stadium to be a part of.

“Laurence Rogers of Plymouth is obviously a big advocate of the Development League. He has that experience and we, as one of these defunct clubs, want to do something to bring the club back.

“It’s people like him and people like Connor Dugard at Eastbourne who are welcoming us all with open arms to let this dream become a reality.”
